3. The Bucks’ defense is still scary

The Bucks may no longer be the best defense in the NBA but they’re still in the top-10 and they’ve allowed less than a point per possession in the 33 minutes that Tucker, Holiday, Middleton and Giannis have been on the floor together. And it’s not just their capacity to still play at an elite defensive level, it’s their versatility and ability to deal with a variety of matchups.

They have multiple defenders to throw at the primary scorers and creation threats for every other contender and, in the case of the Brooklyn Nets, they’re one of the few teams that has the individual defenders to handle all Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving all at the same time. If they’re healthy, the Bucks can absolutely still fuel a deep playoff run with their defense.
