7. Desmond Ridder is one of the many fun Quarterbacks in the 2022 Class

Desmond Ridder stands at 6-foot-4 and weighs 215-pounds, he isn’t looking to be just another name in the ’22 quarterback class, he’s looking to be the name.

Desmond shined in his junior season after a mediocre sophomore campaign. For his career, he’s thrown for 6,905 yards on 61 percent passing with 57 touchdowns to 20 interceptions.

My favorite part of Ridder’s game isn’t his toughness or arm, it’s his patience. I love seeing a quarterback that is mature beyond his years and willing to trust his offensive line and his teammates before making an educated decision. Why throw something early and force something? Ridder waits and analyzes through all reads, he waits for the defense to collapse before pouncing on that opportunity and producing yet another big play for the Bearcats.

Ridder throws it to the outside well and he shows off some really nice touch. He’s got a good combination of velocity on his throws with precise accuracy when he’s on.

I view him winning with his accuracy much more than arm strength at the next level. Ridder anticipates well too and gets creative with some different arm angle releases.

There’s the running ability to obsess about too, he isn’t that fast but he runs hard and with a purpose, getting downfield fast with long strides.

I expect Ridder to be a first round pick, just because he’s at seven on this list doesn’t mean I dislike him. There’s just so much talent on this list and Ridder being seven speaks volumes to that.

Invest in Ridder now, the dude is going to thrive in his senior season.
