Desmond Ridder, Carson Strong and the best Group of Five NFL Draft prospects for 2022

4. Is Carson Strong the next rapid riser?
I’m a Carson Strong believer.
At 6-foot-4, 215-pounds, Strong has thrived in the MWC these last two seasons. He has thrown for 2,858 passing yards, completing 66.7 percent of his passes with 38 touchdowns to only 11 interceptions. He’s coming off a season where he only threw four to the other team.
Now the first thing you notice with Strong is his big arm. He throws an impeccable deep ball. You can often see him throwing a dime to his star receiver Romeo Doubs. Those two have a special connection.
Strong has special arm talent and moves around well in the pocket as he’s looking around the field for the best available option. He’s got nimble feet and is always in a position to make a throw.
He has the tools to be a very good quarterback at the next level if he can have a big redshirt junior season. If he does, he could be a first round pick.
