4. The Sixers’ squad depth will take them far

If, God forbid, COVID-19 sidelined a good portion of the Sixers team, they would still be able to compete in the postseason. That’s how deep their squad is this year.

Though there isn’t a traditional point guard on the team this season, they have at least three players (Ben Simmons, Shake Milton, and Tyrese Maxey) who can perform well in the role. The Sixers also made the most of their offseason, offloading Al Horford for Danny Green, Terrance Ferguson, and Vincent Poirier, who are relatively young shooters and guards with maximum roster flexibility. Even the Dwight Howard signing, though raising many eyebrows, could be seen as a smart move if Embiid ever needs a rest, as Howard is a future Hall of Famer and a stellar rebounder who offers great rim protection.

This Sixers might be the most stacked squad in all the league. Expect each player to show up and compete for the title.
