2. Daxton Hill, safety

Aside from Aidan Hutchinson, Daxton Hill looks like Michigan’s best shot to reach first-round consideration. The former five-star safety will definitely beast through the Combine if he decides to leave early after the 2021 season. Of course, the season itself will factor heavily into whether that’s his right move. Hill was second among Wolverines with 46 tackles in 2020. He had one interception and four pass breakups. He’s only started nin games in his two seasons, but he’s already proved capable of being an impact player. He’ll need to do it across a 12 game season to really cement his stock.

1. Aiden Hutchinson, defensive end

The Wolverines have a decent shot at producing a fourth-straight first-round draft pick in 2022. That’s because Hutchinson is drawing serious attention as an edge rusher ready to follow in Kwity Paye’s footsteps.

Hutchinson was a havoc machine in 2019. He had 10 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks, plus six pass breakups, four quarterback hurries and two forced fumbles. He was on track to have a similar impact in 2020 when he suffered a season-ending injury.

At 6-foot-6, 269 pounds, Hutchinson has excellent size to attract NFL scouts. He only has to get back on the field to make sure he’s in the first-round discussion.
