PGA Championship sleeper No. 1: Keegan Bradley (+9000)

A former PGA Championship winner, Keegan Bradley didn’t come away with a victory at Kiawah in 2012 but the surprising champion from the previous year’s event did make his presence felt amid tough conditions. While McIlroy ran away from the rest of the field, Bradley finished in a tie for third as one of just a handful of players to finish under par, ending up at 4-under.

Having good memories at such an exceptionally difficult golf course is a good thing in itself and should be something that helps the 34-year-old a great deal this week. However, Bradley has emerged as a sleeper you have to consider this year because of how well he’s been playing.

Bradley hasn’t finished outside of the top 30 since The Genesis Invitational months ago while reeling off three top-10 finishes, including two top-fives and a runner-up over that span. He’s one of the best ball-strikers in the world and has been showcasing that off the tee and with his irons of late.

The big issue for Bradley has long been his work on the greens but, of late, he’s been an average putter, which is actually a huge win for him and his game. If he can bring that to Kiawah and maintain his recent form, this is a past champion who has the game at this current moment to come away with another victory.
