PGA DFS DraftKings picks, PGA Championship 2021: Best fantasy golf lineup
PGA Championship DraftKings picks: $6,000 range
Ryan Palmer ($6,900) – Palmer has been Mr. Consistency this year but has stumbled a tad over the past few starts, even if he’s made the cut. At this price, though, the veteran savvy and all-around game should help the Texan.
Stewart Cink ($6,900) – It’s rare that a two-time winner this season who also is hitting the ball longer than he ever has before would be in this pricing tier but that makes Cink a great option if you need to dip down here and get some value as he’s simply been in strong form all year.
K.H. Lee ($6,900) – The winner last week at the AT&T Byron Nelson, Lee has popped up a few times on leaderboards this season. I’m mentioning him because of the success last week but, unfortunately, he’s a fade for me as I see a likely drop-off coming.
Charl Schwartzel ($6,800) – Schwartzel has been low-key awesome since finishing T26 at The Masters, finishing in the top 21 or higher in each of his last four starts, including a runner-up (with Oosthuizen) at the Zurich and T3 at the Byron Nelson. The form is there and, with proven ability in the wind, he’s a strong value play in PGA DFS circles.
Alex Noren ($6,600) – It’s rare you get a safe-feeling value play but Noren might be that in his current form. He’s finished T21 in his last three starts and was T25 the week before that. He’s found something in his game recently and, though likely not a threat to win, he could be a steady cut-maker for your lineup at a cheap price.
Lanto Griffin ($6,600) – Griffin is the type of guy who always seems to pop when people aren’t on him and this might be that type of week. With length of the tee, nice iron play and the propensity for a hot putter, he might be worth some equity in your lineups.
Dylan Frittelli ($6,500) – Nothing about the stats is necessarily going to say that Frittelli should be the play at the PGA Championship but he can have all phases of the game working at times and, if he shows up in form this week, he could make some noise at a low, low price.
Dean Burmester ($6,300) – Frankly, I wouldn’t want to go lower than Noren but if you need to go really low-priced, a flier on Burmester could make sense. In Europe, his last three starts have been a win, T4 and T6. That type of form doesn’t always translate when traveling to the U.S. but it could make him worth a little sprinkle if necessary.
