Day'Ron Sharpe. 13. player. 29. . Big. San Antonio Spurs

Sharpe looks like a less explosive version of Bam Adebayo — a paint-bound big with excellent touch and passing instincts with plenty of defensive upside. It feels like a stereotype to just assign every unconventional player type to the Spurs and assume they’ll be able to get the best out of them but … you know, they just keep doing it, year after year.

The Spurs have young talent in the backcourt and on the wing and with DeMar DeRozan’s contract expiring now is the time for them to fully pivot towards youth. There isn’t anyone with the potential to be a transformational star on the roster right now. Sharpe probably doesn’t have that upside but there aren’t many players who do at the end of the lottery. However, Sharpe’s defensive upside and strong passing ability raises the floor, meshes well with their guards and sets the table for them to keep chasing the next leader of this team.
