Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James consoled Chris Paul as he walked off the court with his serious injury in Game 1.

NBA fans are still shaken after Phoenix Suns guard Chris Paul went down with a serious-looking injury in Game 1 against the Los Angeles Lakers. On a freak play, Paul was struck hard and flew to the ground in a considerable amount of pain.

After the entire Suns bench circled around him, Paul was able to get to his feet and gingerly walk off the floor with a towel over his head. As he did this, LeBron James went over to him and told him that he loved him. It’s an emotional seen.

NBA Playoffs: LeBron James didn’t hesitate in showing love to Chris Paul

This really is something. While the two teams are fighting against one another to try and advance in the postseason, there’s an incredible amount of respect between all of the players. You know this is the case for James and Paul.

The two have been making unreal plays in the league for years now. James knows just how outstanding of a player Paul is and vice versa. Forget about a win or loss on Sunday. James just let everyone know how much Paul means to him as a basketball player and good friend.

Thankfully, it appears Paul is going to be okay, as he’s cleared to return to Game 1 by the Suns training staff. James and Paul are friends off the court as well, dating back to the banana boat days.
