Seth Curry gives 76ers a scare with concerning injury (Video)
Philadelphia guard Seth Curry had to leave Game 1 of the 76ers’ playoff matchup with the Washington Wizards after a concerning blow.
The 76ers had a bit of an injury scare in the second quarter against the Wizards.
Shooting guard Seth Curry took a blow to the stomach area, ending up curled up on the court in distress.
The video tells the story best:
Seth Curry had to come off the court after taking a shot below the belt
Curry left the game with under two minutes to play in the first half.
Thanks to the break, he didn’t miss that much game-time. He was able to check back in at the start of the third quarter. He went on to hit three three-pointers in that quarter after missing his first three shots from distance.
Clearly, the impact didn’t have a negative lingering effect.
Philadelphia is the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference. They have to see off the Wizards to advance. While the 76ers are favorites in the series, Washington is feeling confident after making their way into the playoffs with an emphatic play-in tournament victory.
Curry’s shooting will play an important role in the playoffs. He’s averaging 12.5 points per game while shooting 45 percent from three-point distance this year.
