Entire Blazers home crowd sings Happy Birthday for Carmelo Anthony (Video)

Portland Trail Blazers fans inside the Moda Center sang “Happy Birthday” to Carmelo Anthony during Game 4 against the Denver Nuggets on Saturday.

Saturday was a special day for Portland Trail Blazers forward Carmelo Anthony. Not only was i Game 4 of Portland’s first-round series against the Denver Nuggets, but it was also Anthony’s 37th birthday.

During Portland’s 115-95 victory over the Nuggets, Trail Blazers fans packed inside of the Moda Center serenaded Anthony by singing “Happy Birthday” to the NBA veteran.

What an awesome moment for Anthony, who you did notice smile in the middle of the “Happy Birthday” song, before focusing back on the game.

The Trail Blazers had a rather easy day at the office, as they entered the fourth quarter with a 93-66 lead, all but spelling the end of Denver’s comeback chances. As a result, the Trail Blazers return to Denver with the series tied at two games apiece.

Anthony played 22 minutes on Saturday, where he scored 12 points (5-for-11 from field, two-for-five from three-point line) and grabbed three rebounds off the bench. As for the star of the game for the Trail Blazers, that title belongs to none other than Norman Powell, who scored 29 points (11-for-15 from field, four-for-four from behind the arc) and tallied two rebounds, two blocks, one assist and one steal.

All in all, the Trail Blazers shot 50.0-percent from the field, as opposed to the Nuggets’ 34.0-percent.

After being booed by Nuggets fans in Denver at the start of the series, Trail Blazers fans decided to show their respect for Anthony in the form of a song.
