2. Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills made it all the way to the AFC Championship before losing 38-24 to Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. Though the Bills lost, they fought quite admirably on the road and should present a challenge for the two-time reigning AFC champions in Week 5.

Last season, Buffalo scored 502 points on offense, ranking second in the NFL. The Green Bay Packers (509 points) were the only team who scored more points than them. This proves the Bills have the firepower to compete with Mahomes and the Chiefs should the game be a high scoring affair.

Keep in mind Buffalo had a fairly weak rushing attack, as they ranked 20th in yards and yards per carry. If the Bills can get a solid rushing attack going, it will make them even more lethal than they already are.

Josh Allen took a significant step forward into stardom last season and if he takes another leap forward, he might be too much to handle for the Chiefs. Much like Lamar Jackson, he’s a threat to air it out and a threat to run the ball. While Allen isn’t as fast as Lamar, he’s a big, tough quarterback who can extend plays for his talented core of receivers.

The Chiefs probably won’t play a more talented team on offense during the 2021 regular season than the Bills, so they should present a unique challenge for them.
