After surviving Nebraska, Arkansas welcomes North Carolina State to Fayetteville as part of the 2021 NCAA Baseball Tournament.

The top-seeded team in the 2021 NCAA Baseball Tournament got a nice, little wake-up call in its regional. The Arkansas Razorbacks were given quite the challenge to start the NCAA Tourney. In its first game, Arkansas actually gave up eight runs, having to beat NJIT in a high-scoring affair, winning 13-8.

The Hogs then beat the Nebraska Cornhuskers 5-1 but then ran into issues as they tried to send Nebraska home.

In its second game against the Huskers, Arkansas slipped up and wound up losing 5-3. Arkansas was ultimately able to climb out of the hole it put itself in, beating Nebraska 6-2 to advance on, but the Fayetteville Super Regional was far more intriguing than many Arkansas fans likely wanted.

Down in the Ruston Regional, the North Carolina State Wolfpack made easy work out of its foes, clearing every hurdle with ease. NC State walloped on Alabama, beating the Crimson Tide 8-1 and then handed Louisiana Tech an 8-3 loss.

But that wasn’t the only solid win over the host team that NC State had in Ruston. The Wolfpack then beat up on Louisiana Tech even more in the final game of the Ruston Regional as North Carolina State eliminated the Bulldogs with a 14-7 victory.
