2. Elite skill players

Prescott isn’t on an island when it comes to producing points for Dallas. He’s also blessed with one of the best skill position groups in all of football.

Ezekiel Elliott might be overpaid given his position, but there’s no arguing the production he gives the Cowboys every week. Don’t overlook the help he gives Dallas in the passing game. He managed to catch 52 passes on 71 targets last season with Andy Dalton throwing him the ball for long stretches.

The wide receiver corps is armed with both high-end talent and depth. Amari Cooper has developed into an unquestioned No. 1 option in Dallas after escaping a questionable situation with the Raiders. CeeDee Lamb enters his second season as a pro entrenched as the No. 2 option. He arguably has more long-term upside than Cooper. It shouldn’t shock anyone if he manages to become Prescott’s go-to downfield threat in 2021.

Michael Gallup may be the third most talented wideout of the group but he could easily operate as a No. 2 option for a lot of teams around the league. His combination of size and speed helps him stretch opposing defenses from his spot on the outside.

The Cowboys may struggle to stop opponents in 2021, but their elite skill position players are going to rack up yards and points. Their presence on the roster might just be enough to lead Dallas to a surprising Super Bowl title.
