Hawks vs 76ers NBA live stream reddit for Game 5

The Philadelphia 76ers play host to the Atlanta Hawks in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference semifinals.

The Hawks took Game 4, in what was a must-win for them in from of their home fans at State Farm Arena. Now, the series heads back to Philadelphia for what could be a defining game for either team in their runs toward the NBA Finals.

Philly, who won the conference and are led by the one and only Joel Embiid, had a 31-11 record against the East this season. Their playoff path hasn’t been easy so far, however, and the Hawks pose a legitimate threat thanks to the efforts of Trae Young and his supporting cast.

Expect the 76ers to feature Ben Simmons guarding Young as often as possible, as the former No. 1 overall pick remains one of the best on-ball defenders in the Association. If Young is stopped, the 76ers will essentially cut the head off the snake.

The Hawks are playing with house money. Should they win Game 5, a feat which few expect them to achieve, then they’ll head back to Atlanta with a chance to end the series and pull off a shocker. Should they lose, they still have a chance to force a Game 7 in front of their home fans.

The pressure is squarely on the higher-seeded 76ers, and for good reason.
