LeBron James was in awe of Kevin Durant‘s historic Game 5 performance just like the rest of us.

As he prepares himself to take on the Goon Squad later this summer, Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James reacted to Kevin Durant’s unbelievable Game 5 performance for the Brooklyn Nets accordingly.

Two years after tearing his Achilles, Durant went out and gave the hometown Nets 49 points, 17 rebounds and 10 assists in his jaw-dropping triple-double. Durant’s sensational 48 minutes for Brooklyn helped propel the Nets to a thrilling 114-108 Game 5 victory over the visiting Milwaukee Bucks. One more win and the Nets will have punched their ticket to the Eastern Conference Finals.

James’ reaction to Durant’s monumental Game 5 is the latest example of great recognizing great.

Of the seven teams still battling for an NBA championship, one could argue the Nets are the favorite to win it all this year. While Brooklyn can never seem to get all three of their stars healthy at the same time, they are the toughest team to defend remaining in the NBA Playoffs. Though Milwaukee has had its moments vs. the Nets, the winner of this series can win the championship.

If Durant’s Nets win their first NBA Finals in franchise history, this will be the third of his illustrious career. Of the seven teams remaining, only the Bucks, the Atlanta Hawks and the Philadelphia 76ers have ever won an NBA title. Brooklyn will be the favorite in the Eastern Conference Finals, as well as whoever they would theoretically face in the NBA Finals. Durant has been unstoppable.
