1. The Browns offensive has exceptional balance

High-flying aerial attacks are all the rage in the modern NFL, but the Browns organization still understands the importance of running the ball effectively. Their offense’s ability to hand Nick Chubb the ball 25-plus times on a weekly basis does a lot to take pressure off of Baker Mayfield and the passing game.

That doesn’t mean Mayfield won’t put up video game numbers this season. Cleveland’s front office has done a masterful job at building a top-notch offensive line to protect him. Adding Jack Conklin in free agency and Jedrick Wills through the draft last year solidified up the team’s troublesome tackle spots.

Jarvis Landry was miscast as a No. 1 wide receiver last year, but the potential return of Odell Beckham Jr. to full health should solve that issue. It’s risky to bet on Beckham to stay healthy (and focused) for a full season, but he could enjoy a career renaissance in 2021 given the stability around him.

Add it all up and it’s possible that Cleveland could have a top-5 offense that’s equally as dangerous on the ground or through the air. That’s a clear recipe for postseason success. It could be just enough to push the Browns to playoff glory.
