Wing. Detroit Pistons. Cade Cunningham. 2. player. 64.

Jerami Grant had an incredible season and it was so fun to watch him blossom into a No. 1 option. But it’s not clear he can sustain that kind of production on a team that’s also winning games and fighting for playoff position. Getting an offensive creator who can make things easier for him and Killian Hayes and Saddiq Bey should be the focus.

Both Cunningham and Hayes should be comfortable moving on or off the ball in the backcourt and they’d give the Pistons a defensive combination with tremendous size and upside. On offense, Cunningham could help buoy Grant’s efficiency in higher-leverage situations, keeping finding Bey for open 3s and help Isaiah Stewart fully realize his potential as a pick-and-roll beast. Mobley would be fun and the Pistons are just as likely to get a crack at him with the No. 2 pick, but Cunningham is the player who makes the most sense.
