Wing. Toronto Raptors. Cade Cunningham. 7. player. 81.

The Raptors big man rotation was a disaster last season with Aron Baynes cratering into the hole left by Serge Ibaka and Marc Gasol. Evan Mobley would certainly fit will with the Raptors, giving them a new interior anchor on defense and forming a scary defensive combination with Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby. However, it seems likely that Kyle Lowry may be on his way out this offseason and getting a new backcourt partner for Fred VanVleet probably makes more sense.

VanVleet has grown into a capable on-ball creator but he’s often been at his best splitting those responsibilities with Lowry or Siakam and working as a floor-spacer and secondary creator. Cunningham’s pick-and-roll prowess would help the Raptors get the most out of the rest of the young, fringe stars and probably be enough to put them back in the postseason hunt next season. At just a 7.5 percent chance we’re in improbable territory but the Raptors can still dream.
