The Bucks role players need to step up throughout this series

It’s safe to assume Giannis will continue his aggressiveness at put up points, and I think the same is expected of Kris Middleton as well. Similar to the previous point, the Bucks will reach the Finals if their role players can deliver and increase the pressure on Atlanta.

Having a player that can essentially get into the paint at-will like Giannis is a gift. Aside from him creating his own scoring chances, that’ll increase the opportunities for the Bucks to knock down their three-point shots. Milwaukee finished with the NBA’s fourth-highest three-point percentage (38.9%). That number has gone down this postseason, and of the four remaining teams the Bucks have lowest three-point makes in the playoffs (31.2 percent).

Two of their biggest contributors in that department will need to be Jrue Holiday and Pat Connaughton. The duo combined to shoot 6-for-29 (20.6 percent) from beyond the three-point arc in the team’s final three games. Even though the Bucks came out victorious, it’ll be critical to keeping up with a Hawks team who can quickly turn games into a shootout.

The Bucks become dangerous once their supporting cast gets involved. It’s hard enough to stop Giannis, the last thing Atlanta wants is to have Milwaukee’s role players find success.
