Watch Boogie Cousins shove Devin Booker after an intense Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals.

While the Deandre Ayton alley-oop buzzer beater to win Game 2 for the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night will be all we can talk about, it won’t be the only thing worth mentioning at the end of the game.

No one will be shocked to know that Demarcus Cousins let his emotions boil over as he took it out his frustration with the loss in the worst possible way. In the moments following the buzzer beater, as officials huddled to check if everything that had transpired was on the level, Boogie shoved Devin Booker in a clear attempt to either start something or blow off steam.

Perhaps a little bit of both.

The Suns have no doubt been frustrating throughout the entire NBA Playoffs. Phoenix eliminated LeBron James in the first-round for the first time in his career, and then proceeded to absolutely dismantle the Denver Nuggets in four games.

Now the Suns are up 2-0 on the Los Angeles Clippers, and look poised to sweep their way to the franchise’s first NBA Finals appearance since the early 90s.

Thankfully nothing much became of the situation the Boogie Cousins was trying to start. Booker backed off, left the court and celebrated with his teammates — who even took time to FaceTime Chris Paul into the celebratory festivities.

Whether or not the league takes action in regard to the Boogie Cousins shove is another thing entirely. A fine seems the most likely route, assuming punishment is handed out. Suspending Cousins seems harsh for what was just a shove, despite how inappropriate and malicious it was.
