Super welterweight Carlos Adames made quick work of Alexis Salazar with a leaping left hook that dropped and stopped Salazar in round 3.

Carlos Adames came into his June 26 super welterweight matchup with Alexis Salazar with a high knockout rating. He improved upon it with a TKO stoppage of Salazar in round 3.

Adames fought Salazar on the undercard of Showtime’s Gervonta Davis vs. Mario Barrios pay-per-view boxing event. The fight was put together late after Julian Williams vs. Brian Mendoza was canceled due to an injury suffered by Williams.

Adames and Salazar took the time slot on pay-per-view television, but only Adames finished the fight on his feet.
