Italy get the Round of 16 off to a start on Saturday when they take on Austria. Here’s what you need to know before tuning in.

Undefeated Italy embark on the road to the Euro 2020 final with a stop in London on Saturday against Austria to open the Round of 16.

Italy won Group A, winning all three of their matches, and are currently in the midst of a 30-game unbeaten streak under manager Roberto Mancini. Italy have also won their last 11 matches — all shutouts — meaning it has been more than 1,000 minutes since they last conceded a goal.

Meanwhile, Austria, Group C runners-up, clinched a spot in the last-16 following a 1-0 victory against Ukraine. They will have their work cut out for them against an Italian side that appears unbeatable.

Italy’s attack-minded 4-3-3 has been a joy to watch and almost impossible for opposing backlines to stop. Mancini’s playing style, an offensive-minded approach undertaken by several Serie A clubs like Atalanta and Sassuolo, have benefitted the Azzurri.

“Our players are used to playing like this because we’ve been trying to push this type of play since the first day and little by little we’ve gotten there,” Mancini told reporters. “Plus, there are other squads that do it so they don’t have any problems carrying it out when they come in here.”
