Joe Biden makes wager with Justin Trudeau over Stanley Cup Finals.

There’s nothing that could make a good championship game better but a friendly wager amongst friends. And while these wagers usually involve something embarrassing like streaking through your neighborhood or shaving your head, these two bettors took it to the next level. They got their countries involved.

On Monday, just hours before the Montreal Canadiens took on the Tampa Bay Lighting, an undisclosed wager was made between the two men who run both countries.

Justin Trudeau, the Canadian Prime Minister tweeted to the United States President, Joe Biden, wanting to have a little fun with the Stanley Cup Finals.

“Two of the best teams in the NHL are facing off right now,” he wrote. “How about a friendly wager?”

The President replied, “You’re on pal.”

Of course neither of them revealed the details of the bet but we like to assume it involves someone painting their face and running down the street in their underwear.

At press time, the Lightning were whopping on the Canadiens (‘murica) in Game 1 of the series.
