2. Kemba Walker

Although he’s already been shipped out of Boston, Kemba Walker’s offseason moving likley isn’t over. Oklahoma City is a waystation for star players and Sam Presti could flip Kemba before the start of the next season.

That’s where the Lakers come into play.

Zach Lowe mentioned on his podcast that the Lakers are among the teams he thinks could pursue Kemba this summer.

"“I think both the L.A. teams are going to be sniffing around Kemba Walker. I think that’s the market. Now, I don’t know if you can get up to the money, I don’t know if they have whatever Oklahoma City wants, but that’s the level that I think they can target.”"

Where it gets tricky is what Los Angeles sends back. The Lakers sending a package of Kyle Kuzma, Dennis Schroder, and a future protected pick — as Lake Show Life suggests — feels like something that could get this done, but would require some work. Schroder wants a new contract so a sign-and-trade would have to happen here, but sending him to the Thunder to rehab his game on a contract that makes him happy feels like Presti’s style.

Also, the idea of the Thunder re-acquiring Schroder from L.A. after trading him there for a first-round pick is pure Presti brilliance and would go right alongside him trading Al Horford back to the Celtics to get Kemba Walker in the first place.

That’s where swapping out Schroder and including THT in the deal makes a ton of sense. Is it a steep price? It sure is, but it would land Kemba in Los Angeles and get the Lakers a flashy point guard to help run the offense with LeBron.
