1. Fresh faces in the NBA Finals for once

The main reason why the Finals are better without James is that there are fresh faces on the NBA’s biggest stage. The battles between LeBron and Steph Curry were fun and gave us historic moments, but it grew stale, especially when Kevin Durant joined the Warriors, making them a behemoth of a team.

We have Chris Paul in his first Finals after16 years, Devin Booker proving he is a superstar in the association, and the Milwaukee Bucks are very close to exercising their playoff demons with a championship. Giannis Antetokounmpo‘s first appearance in the Finals gives the championship series a fresh look. It was much needed for a league that is dominated by big market teams and their superstar players.

LeBron James’ consistency is one of the more underappreciate things of his illustrious career. However, him missing the Finals this year was a breath of fresh air for the NBA. New stars took center stage, the G.O.A.T debate is put on hold, and it could be the start of a new regime in the NBA.
