1. New York Jets sign Chris Godwin

Give the Jets some credit — they went out and got Zach Wilson some weapons this offseason. The Robert Saleh era appears to be on the right track early.

That being said, the Jets have a ton of cap space entering the 2022 offseason and Corey Davis should not be the No. 1 option long-term for Wilson. Godwin, who has experience carrying an offense, can fill in admirably alongside Davis, who would immediately become one of the best No. 2 options in the NFL.

Giving Wilson a top receiving duo in free agency allows the Jets to focus on protecting him up front in the NFL Draft, as well as other positions of need, of which there are plenty.

The Jets are a long way from contention, as are the Jaguars, who also made the cut. Yet, if Godwin wants to get paid like a true No. 1, these are the teams that’ll give him a long-term, lucrative contract.
