Cleveland Cavaliers: Best Ben Simmons trade offer

The Cavaliers will be one of the most interesting teams to watch as the 2021 NBA Draft approaches. They have the No. 3 overall pick at their disposal. While they could use it to draft someone like Evan Mobley out of USC or Jalen Suggs out of Gonzaga, the Cavaliers may use that pick as part of a package to trade for a proven star in this league, someone of Simmons’ caliber.

In addition to the No. 3 overall pick, Philadelphia should ask for at least either of Cleveland’s starting backcourt players in Collin Sexton or Darius Garland. Since Garland has one more year of control on his rookie contract, one would think Sexton is the more expendable of the two. Either way, those two Cleveland guards will provide the jump-shooting Simmons has never been able to.

Cleveland’s new backcourt would be Simmons and either Sexton or Garland. As for Philadelphia, either Sexton or Garland is their new floor general, while the 76ers would be in possession of the precious No. 3 overall pick, one where they could add another piece to their core or trade away for a proven player who can help them contend for an NBA championship in the next season or so.

This trade makes both teams better, but keep in mind this would be within the same conference.
