1. Atlanta Falcons

One of New Orleans’ biggest rivals could be the team to snatch Marcus Williams away from them in 2022. The Falcons lost Keanu Neal and Ricardo Allen in the offseason, which depletes their secondary talent. In addition, the team ranked as the worst passing defense in 2020 and could be headed that same way because of the losses they sustained this offseason.

They could definitely use the services of Marcus Williams when (or if) he becomes available. Grabbing him from a sworn rival would make the transaction even sweeter for Atlanta. With the Falcons’ ineptitude in pass defense, they should be the first one to contact Williams next offseason.

The team should have the financial flexibility to land Williams, especially given the cap-clearing moves they performed this offseason. The Falcons defense needs a new leader, and the Saints’ safety could be that for them if he joins Atlanta in 2022. The Saints better be worried about losing their star safety because he could be lost to their biggest rival if they drag their feet next offseason.
