Washington had a heroic finish to their game Sunday after a there was a shooting outside of their ballpark on Saturday.

It was an ugly scene at Nationals Park Saturday night, as there was an active shooter incident during the Washington Nationals vs San Diego Padres game. Multiple people were injured as a result, and the game was suspended.

The Washington D.C. police are trying to find the shooter, and have found a suspected vehicle connected to the shooting. Washington returned to the ballpark on Sunday, and their game had much less drama, and a way better ending.

The Sunday matchup between Washington and San Diego was an entertaining affair for all of the right reasons. It was a high-scoring game, and the Padres rallied in the ninth to make it a 7-7 game. The walk-off is a great ending to what was a great game for the team. It also gives fans something to cheer about, as the past 24 hours have been hectic and frightening. Hopefully, the momentum from this game can help the team gain ground in a crowded NL East.
