Chelsea preparing world-record bid for Erling Haaland

According to sources out of Europe, Chelsea is getting ready to put a world-record bid on the table for Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland. 

What will happen with Erling Haaland this summer? While Borussia Dortmund has come out and said they don’t want to sell the superstar striker, Chelsea FC isn’t ready to give up on their dreams of bringing him to Stamford Bridge.

Matter of fact, they’re ready to put an insane offer in front of them. According to ESPN, Chelsea FC is getting ready to put a deal worth around $175 million on the table to land him. How in the world could Dortmund refuse this kind of an offer?

After winning the 2021 Champions League, Chelsea is hoping to make a push for an English Premier League title here in the near future. Adding Haaland to the mix would most certainly help in doing so.

At just 20 years old, Haaland hasn’t even touched the prime of his career. Despite that, he’s turned countless heads ever since he went to the Bundesliga to start suiting up for Dortmund. He’s got incredible skills finishing inside the box.

Several teams have showcased interest in him this summer and understandably so. For Chelsea, they’re hoping to keep pace with the other EPL teams who have been busy making moves. This of course includes Manchester United, which brought in Jadon Sancho on a monster deal. The Old Trafford side is also close to acquiring Raphael Varane from Real Madrid.

If Chelsea is serious about pushing for a league title, they’ll need to improve their roster tremendously. Haaland is the kind of player who can help send a club over the top. We’ll see if Thomas Tuchel will end up have the generational player suit up for him.
