1. Minnesota Vikings

Buckle up, you knew this was coming.

A jilted Packers quarterback going to the Vikings to stick it to his old team in the worst way possible has already been done. But no story is safe from getting rebooted, given a sequel, or revived.

The Vikings wouldn’t win any points for creativity, but winning a Super Bowl is way better anyway.

Minnesota has been perpetually searching for the quarterback to take them over the top, and the solution has almost always it’s been a veteran. The last two times the Vikings were best-positioned to make it back to the Super Bowl, the team was led by Randall Cunningham and Brett Favre.

Rodgers is closer to his prime than both of them, and infinitely better as well.

Not to freak Broncos fans out, but the Vikings might be in a more attractive position in terms of being a ready-made Super Bowl contender:

  • Mike Zimmer’s defenses are always capable of being among the league’s best
  • Rodgers offensive weapons would be Dalvin Cook, Adam Thielen, and Justin Jefferson
  • The NFC North is a cakewalk
  • Patrick Mahomes is still in the other conference and not in the same division
  • There’s the opportunity to beat the Packers twice a year

Those last two points might be deal-clinchers for Rodgers. For as petty as he is, the idea of being able to beat the Packers twice a year — in games he’ll likely be playing as though they’re the Super Bowl — might be too good to pass up.

While having Rodgers and Mahomes in the same division would be entertaining for football fans, it’s an easily avoidable complication in reaching the Super Bowl. Plus, as we saw in Super Bowl 55, Mahomes is mortal.

This would be the ultimate revenge, and Rodgers bringing the Tell Cersei It Was Me meme to life would be glorious to watch.
