3 trades Braves must make in the next 24 hours

Richard Rodriguez is the perfect addition the Braves’ inconsistent bullpen needs
The Pittsburgh Pirates have already revealed themselves as sellers at the trade deadline after shipping their best player in All-Star second baseman Adam Frazier to the San Diego Padres. While other players such as centerfielder Bryan Reynolds and third baseman Ke’Bryan Hayes could be available, Atlanta needs to figure out how to trade for right-handed reliever Richard Rodriguez.
Since arriving in Pittsburgh four years ago, Rodriguez has been sensational in the Buccos bullpen. His ERA in Pirates uniform is 2.98 with a 1.090 WHIP over four seasons. Rodriguez has become even more valuable this year by notching a career-best 14 saves already. With two more years of arbitration eligibility left, the Braves could have a long-term answer to their bullpen woes.
While many in Braves Country will want Craig Kimbrel to return to Atlanta, Rodriguez would come cheaper and would be in Atlanta uniform for a far longer period than just a half-season rental. Atlanta would not have to give up a top prospect as it would for Haniger, or grossly overpay to pry Duvall from division rival Miami. Rodriguez would be a welcomed addition to an awful Atlanta pen.
Overall, if the Braves are going to make any more moves heading into the trade deadline, it would be to improve its outfield, as well as fix its horrendous bullpen. Due to financial constraints, the Braves are not going to be swinging for the fences with any blockbuster deals at the deadline. However, ownership has given Anthopoulos the green light to make some under-the-radar trades.
