Kris Bryant is the biggest name on the trade block and the Cubs star could ignite the rebuild if they make the right trade, so what can they get in return?

The MLB trade deadline is Friday, July 30 at 3 p.m. ET and it’s a time that Chicago Cubs fans are anxiously awaiting to see which of their favorite players are moved.

Kris Bryant is the biggest bat that’s most likely to be moved while Anthony Rizzo and Javy Baez are perceived to be more likely to be kept with the hope of the team reaching an agreement on a new deal.

While Bryant did say earlier in the week he’d be open to re-signing with the Cubs even if he’s dealt, that’s likely just Bryant saying the right thing, as he’s done throughout his career.

Why are the Cubs trading Kris Bryant?

The Cubs are trading Bryant because they don’t think they’ll sign him to the type of contract his agent Scott Boras will demand.

Bryant is the team’s best hitter and plays all over the diamond. He’s the type of player that should never be traded. The Cubs are only trading him because they are cheap and don’t want to pay him the market value for the type of player he is.

It’s a shame it came to this because he’s a free agent at the end of the year and may not even fetch a big haul from the team acquiring him that then hopes to make a push for the World Series.

Cubs fans, meanwhile, will be forced to root for Bryant in a different uniform for the first time in his career while trying not to cry.

It’s going to be rough.

So where could Bryant be traded?
