The Milwaukee Brewers have gone out and traded for pitcher Daniel Norris from the Detroit Tigers on deadline day.

As you might have been able to guess, the Milwaukee Brewers are busy on the MLB trade deadline trying to improve their roster for a deep postseason run. Well, this isn’t quite the move fans were hoping for, as the club just acquired veteran reliever Daniel Norris from the Tigers.

Norris, the former No. 3 left-handed pitching prospect back in 2015, never lived up to his hype and is having a year to forget in 2021.

Daniel Norris trade for the Brewers is nothing to phone home about

Milwaukee supporters sure were hoping for some better news, as Norris is currently sporting a 5.83 ERA this season. That’s not the kind of production you want from a reliever, which is why the Brewers receive a C grade for this deal.

Meanwhile, for Detroit, they’re getting a B+ for moving Norris. In return, Tigers beat writer Jason Beck is reporting Detroit is receiving 21-year-old pitching prospect, Reese Olson.
