The Chicago Cubs have finished deadline day in a big way by trading superstar third baseman and fan-favorite Kris Bryant.

After seeing Anthony Rizzo traded to the New York Yankees and Javier Baez being sent to the New York Mets, Chicago Cubs fans knew it was only a matter of time before third baseman Kris Bryant was sent out of town as well.

Well, that just happened, with the Cubs agreeing to a deal with the San Francisco Giants right before the deadline on Friday. Just like that, Bryant’s legendary time with the Wrigley Field side has come to a close.

Bryant will never be forgotten by Chicago supporters, as he really has meant so much to the organization ever since he made his debut with the club back in 2015. As you might have been able to guess, Twitter is going wild after news of the trade arrived.

The four-time All-Star made countless big plays for the Cubs, including helping the team win the World Series in 2016. Remember when Bryant recorded the final out of that Game 7 win against the Cleveland Indians by throwing the ball to Rizzo at first?

Of course, you do. Now, Bryant will be getting ready for the next chapter of his career. It will surely be strange to see him in a different jersey, though.
