On Saturday, WWE announced the release of Bray Wyatt. Needless to say, people are irate.

WWE made a shocking announcement on Saturday, as their Twitter page posted the release of the widely popular Bray Wyatt. He had been absent from WWE television in recent months, with no explanation given as to his whereabouts.

Wyatt’s last match on TV was back in November, with a victory over The Miz. Since then, he had been involved with Alexa Bliss, causing a drastic turn in her on-screen persona. With the announcement of his release, several in the wrestling community weighed in on this development.

Adam Scherr, formerly known as Braun Strowman, was among those that expressed their opinion, as he was a member of the Wyatt Family that also included Erick Rowan and the late Luke Harper.

Wyatt has had a few reinventions of his character through the years, with this latest creepy version of The Fiend being among the best. His split personality persona of kept fans intrigued and entertained every time he showed up.

The interesting thing to keep an eye on is released WWE talents typically carry a 90-day no-compete clause in their contract, so it would be towards the end of the year before we could expect him to pop up elsewhere in the wrestling world.
