Mike Zimmer is not pleased with some of his Minnesota Vikings players being unvaccinated.

The Minnesota Vikings are dealing with some COVID-19 fallout in their quarterback room, and head coach Mike Zimmer is not the least bit amused about it.

Rookie quarterback Kellen Mond tested positive for COVID-19 in the early part of training camp. It also knocked out starting quarterback Kirk Cousins for being a close contact. Now getting all the first-team reps in camp for the Vikings is former Washington Huskies standout Jake Browning. Needless to say, Zimmer is not thrilled about the state of the Vikings quarterback room at all.

Here is what he said at the podium about his frustration over players not being vaccinated.

Look. This is all about not putting yourself at a competitive disadvantage. While the Vikings may or may not win the NFC North this season, they are one of several teams in the NFC who could be good enough to make the playoffs. Anything short of a postseason berth should be seen as an epic failure in the Twin Cities. Sadly, it might end up costing Zimmer his job if they come up short.

While Cousins and Mond are not out for a game that counts, it should be noted that games that are canceled due to COVID-19 outbreaks will not be made up. If that does not register with players, one would have to believe not getting a game check for a game that did not happen sure will. Either way, you can sense Zimmer is tired of these COVID protocols and wants it to be done.

The more reps Browning gets, the more reps that are not going to Cousins or Mond this summer.
