Odds of every NFL team winning Super Bowl 56: New England Patriots +3000

The 2020 NFL season was embarrassing for the New England Patriots. After spending two decades basking in nonstop compliments, Bill Belichick finally received his fair share of criticism. With six Super Bowl rings to his name, it’s difficult for anyone to castigate his body of work. But there’s one problem with that scenario, all of his success came with Tom Brady at the helm.

With Brady out the door, Belichick struggled. It was the first time in his tenure as the New England head coach that he failed to produce a winning record. Now, with Brady flaunting his seventh championship ring, Belichick has a ton to prove.

To help out, the Patriots did something they rarely do, they opened up their wallets. They Gave $50 million over four years to tight end Jonnu Smith, three years and $37.5 million to tight end Hunter Henry, four years and $56 million to inside linebacker Matt Judon, two years and $26 million to wide receiver Nelson Agholor and three years along with $22.5 million to wide receiver Kendrick Bourne.

Despite their spending spree, we’re doubtful that they even make the playoffs. Quarterback Cam Newton hasn’t been elite in about five years, none of those new additions are the best at their respective positions and newly drafted quarterback Mac Jones isn’t ready yet.

It might be hard to believe but there still won’t be any Super Bowl parades in New England anytime soon.
