Odds of every NFL team winning Super Bowl 56: Indianapolis Colts +2500

It’s all going to come down to one player and one player only: Carson Wentz. At the age of 25, Wentz was on top of the NFL world. In 2017, his Philadelphia Eagles were terrific, he led them to a record of 11-2 before going down with a torn ACL. Since then, he simply hasn’t been the same.

If, however, he can find his game, the Indianapolis Colts will have a strong chance to make a Super Bowl run. Last season, they were able to sneak into the postseason with an 11-5 record. For the most part, fans are rejoicing with the acquisition of Wentz. But while they believe he’s going to be an upgrade over Phillip Rivers, they need to take another look at the numbers he put up with them last season.

Rivers was good for 4,169 yards 24 touchdowns, only 11 interceptions and completed 68.0 percent of his passes. With all due respect to Wentz but he didn’t come close to putting up those sorts of numbers with the Eagles. In 12 games, Wentz threw for 2,620 yards, 16 touchdowns, 15 interceptions and completed only 57.4 percent of his passes.

From top to bottom, this squad is stacked. Johnathan Taylor ran for 1,169 yards. T.Y. Hilton along with Michael Pittman Jr. are studs. But still, if you’re expecting them to leapfrog over teams such as the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills, you’ve got another thing coming.
