NFL Odds: Every team’s chance to win NFL Super Bowl 56
Odds of every NFL team winning Super Bowl 56: Baltimore Ravens +1400
The Baltimore Ravens are an interesting bunch. Defensively, the argument can easily be made that they’re the best in all of football. In a day and age where teams routinely drop 30 and 40 points on the opposition, it rarely happened to the Ravens. Their 18.9 points allowed per game was good for second in the league. They were also ranked in the top 10 in both rushing and passing yards allowed as well.
Yet, their offense that’s so unbelievably bad, it’s becoming laughable. Running the ball has never been an issue. They were far and away the best in that department, rushing for 191.1 yards per game. The second closest was the Tennessee Titans at 168.1.
But no matter how many times they ran the ball down the throat of their opposition, the Ravens simply felt like an archaic football team. Most of that was due to quarterback Lamar Jackson. He may have an MVP trophy sitting on his mantle at home but he simply can’t throw the football. Even the horrific New York Jets threw for more as they ranked dead last with 171.2 passing yards per game.
Call us crazy but this team isn’t a true Super Bowl threat. Now if Jackson comes back this year and shows a much-improved ability with his arm, then we’ll gladly eat our words. In the meantime, bettors might wanna steer clear of the Ravens.
