3 former Ben Roethlisberger teammates Steelers should bring back for final Super Bowl run

2. Artie Burns
The Steelers took a bit of a gamble this offseason. As a result of them being in cap hell, the organization tried to move on from Steven Nelson via a trade. When no partner was found, they opted to release Nelson at his request.
Pittsburgh’s current depth chart has Joe Haden and Cameron Sutton as their top two corners. The Steelers need to add more depth to their secondary, and they could do so by reuniting with Artie Burns.
The Steelers used their first-round selection on Burns in the 2016 NFL Draft, and his stint was a bit of a roller coaster. He logged three interceptions in his rookie season. In 2017, Burns recorded 54 total tackles, 13 defended passes, two fumble recoveries and one interception. Yet, he was later demoted the following two seasons and had his fifth option declined, making him a free agent in 2020.
In his Pittsburgh tenure, Burns logged 149 combined tackles 27 defended passes, four interceptions, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble.
Burns signed on with the Chicago Bears in the 2020 season, but suffered a torn ACL in the preseason. He later re-signed with the Bears this offseason.
Much like Williamson, bringing in Burns would provide the Steelers with some depth this upcoming season.
