1. Le’Veon Bell

We know, we know. The Steelers had a nasty divorce with running back Le’Veon Bell, which was exemplified by the running back sitting out for the entirety of the 2018 season due to a contract dispute. That resulted in Bell signing with the New York Jets in free agency in 2019, before getting released midway through the 2020 campaign to immediately sign on with the Kansas City Chiefs. Now, he is a free agent.

Bell, known to share his thoughts publicly, did so on Twitter this past spring. While Bell did point out that the Steelers “should have paid [him] what [he] wanted when they had the chance,” he did note that the team that drafted him “gave [him] opportunity,” unlike the Jets and Chiefs. By “opportunity,” Bell meant more touches, especially in the 2017 season, where logged 321 carries through 15 games.

Look, we know the odds of this happening are rather slim, but wouldn’t a reunion be cool?

The Steelers had one of the worst running games in the league last season, resulting in them moving on from James Conner this offseason to draft Najee Harris as his replacement. But adding Bell would give Pittsburgh an awesome one-two punch behind the line of scrimmage to help ease the pressure off Roethlisberger. Not only that, but Bell still is one of the better receiving backs in the league, which will be beneficial to the Steelers offense.
