5 former Russell Wilson teammates Seahawks can sign to make him happy

Russell Okung kept Russell Wilson upright during the early part of his career
Though there have been several excellent offensive linemen to play for the Seahawks throughout the Carroll era, it has been a position group historically where general manager John Schneider is unwilling to spend the big bucks. One player who is still available is former No. 6 overall pick by the Seahawks in offensive tackle Russell Okung. It will be his age-33 season out of Oklahoma State.
Okung was a Pro Bowler during Wilson’s rookie season in 2012. He earned another Pro Bowl during his first season with the Los Angeles Chargers in 2017. However, Okung has been limited to just 13 games over the last two seasons split between the Bolts and the Carolina Panthers. While he has represented himself before, Okung’s days of making top-dollar are totally over.
However, there are few teams where he could potentially contribute as a swing tackle or something to help a contending club like the Seahawks get over the top. Though he already has a Super Bowl ring from his 2013 season in Seattle, the allure of helping the Seahawks get back to the title bout might be enough to get him to come back to the Pacific Northwest this summer.
The only way Seattle wins a Super Bowl this year is if Wilson has a clean pocket to operate from.
