5 former Russell Wilson teammates Seahawks can sign to make him happy

Off-the-field issues make Richard Sherman a complete gamble for this season
One player who is hall-of-fame-bound like Wilson based on what he did in Seattle uniform is five-time Pro Bowl cornerback Richard Sherman. While he had spent the last three seasons playing for the rival San Francisco 49ers, his days with the Bay Area contenders seem to be over, especially after the off-field issues that arose earlier in the summer. He remains a free agent in early August.
Though Sherman does not have to play another down to ensure himself of Canton enshrinement, one would think winning a second Super Bowl in Seattle and getting the Seahawks to a third during his career could help boost him to bona-fide, first-ballot status. Simply put, when you think of the Legion of Boom, you think of Sherman above all other former Seattle great defensive backs.
Entering his age-33 season out of Stanford, as well as the off-the-field issues, might be what keeps Seattle from kicking the tires on Sherman this time around. Then again, Seattle has a unique football culture where it can bring in players whose off-the-field issues are seen as a bit of a distraction for other teams. Either way, Sherman will not garner top-dollar in his free agency now.
This is a way for the Seahawks to acquire a potential Pro Bowler for only a couple million dollars.
