2. Kai Havertz

For the defending Champions League winners, Chelsea FC is ready to see what year No. 2 has in store for Kai Havertz in the English Premier League. His move over from the Bundesliga didn’t quite go as planned last season, as the attacking midfielder struggled at times.

Thus far in his short time with the Blues, Havertz has only scored four goals. That most certainly wasn’t expected when he made the move over from Bayer Leverkusen. Now, though, Havertz is fully fit leading up to the new season and there are monstrous expectations for him.

What’s going to help Havertz here is that the team went out and landed Romelu Lukaku in the transfer window. This is only going to open up the field for guys like Havertz. Timo Werner figures to see a benefit from this as well.

With Havertz specifically, though, he’s feeling good and has said in recent interviews that last season was a humbling experience for him. Now that he’s got one EPL season under his belt and understands how tough it can be, the 2021-22 campaign should be much better for him.
