Premier League: 5 young players to watch in 2021-2022 season
1. Jadon Sancho
Last but not least, you didn’t think we forgot about Jadon Sancho, did you? Sancho made his way over to Manchester United on a $100 million transfer from Borussia Dortmund. Sancho had been linked with a move to Old Trafford for the past couple of years, but things never got over the finish line.
That changed this summer, though, with the United board finally making the move fans had been hoping for. Sancho is quite the talent at 21 years old and he’s expected to be a superstar in the EPL. While it may be weird for Manchester City fans see him in Red, United of course doesn’t care about that.
With his speed and goal-scoring abilities, Sancho could be the difference-maker for Manchester United in trying to bring home a league title in the near future. With that said, we’re going to have to wait a little while to see him and Marcus Rashford create magic together, as Rashford underwent shoulder surgery and is out until at least early October.
Regardless of that, Sancho will look to hit the ground running in the Premier League after scoring 38 goals in a little more than 100 appearances for Dortmund. There are monster expectations for Sancho at Old Trafford, but there’s no doubt he’ll be able to get the job done at his new stomping grounds. He’s simply too good not to be elite while with one of the biggest clubs in the world.
