Adam Warren. 43. Pick Analysis. RHP. New York Yankees. 2.. player. Scouting Report

You may not see him on the major league roster, but Adam Warren is a member of the Yankees organization.

Following a 2019 campaign with the San Diego Padres in which he carried a 5.34 ERA, Warren rejoined the Yankees on a minor league contract. That came despite the fact that he underwent Tommy John surgery that September. Warren was ultimately released midway through the 2020 season, only to re-sign with the club last winter.

Even though Warren has returned, he has been pitching with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. In 27 appearances, Warren recorded a 3.30 ERA, a 1.56 WHIP and 45 strikeouts over 43.2 innings of work.

It truly is telling that Warren has yet to be called up to the Bronx despite their bullpen struggles. With Warren set to become a free agent this upcoming winter, it is hard to see the team re-signing him yet again.

OF. New York Yankees. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Miguel Andujar. 1.. 43

New York had a crowded outfield on paper this offseason consisting of Aaron Judge, Clint Frazier and Aaron Hicks. However, things fell apart quickly after Hicks suffered a season-ending left wrist injury and Frazier was sent to the injured list due to concussion issues. That saw the Yankees rely upon third baseman Miguel Andujar to start in left field.

Through 45 games this season, Andujar is slashing .253/.284/.383 while recording six home runs, 12 RBI, 19 runs scored and 39 hits.

Andujar is currently sidelined due to a left wrist strain. Following the injury, he saw Gallo overtake his spot in left field which he will keep next season, as he is still under contract with the team. Not to mention that Gio Urshela has solidified his spot as the everyday third baseman long ago. Given that, there is not much room left for Andujar on the roster.

The 26-year-old has three more years of arbitration left before becoming an unrestricted free agent following the 2024 season. The Yankees are probably better off trading him to another team where he is guaranteed more playing time at either third base or the outfield.
