With Paul Pogba yet to sign a new contract with Manchester United, Real Madrid is planning to sign him as a free agent next summer.

Paul Pogba is off to a historic start for Manchester United this campaign, recording five assists in the first two games. Unfortunately for Red Devils fans, this might be the last season they’re able to watch Pogba create so much magic on the pitch.

According to ABC Deportes in Spain, Real Madrid is all set to try and sign Pogba as a free agent once his contract with United ends. This would be a blow for the Premier League giants, plus Paris Saint-Germain, as the Ligue 1 side also has high interest in the midfielder.

Real Madrid is ready to make a splash next summer in signing Paul Pogba

Madrid’s interest in Pogba is no secret and the Frenchman has also said in the past that he would welcome the idea of one day playing for Los Blancos. With that said, Manchester United appears to be building something special at Old Trafford. This summer, they’ve brought in center back Raphael Varane and winger Jadon Sancho.

Pogba has been impressed with the direction of the club, but the fact of the matter is that he still hasn’t put the pen to paper on a new deal. United of course wants him to stay and they’re ready to throw top dollar at him.

The superstar is clearly keeping all of his options open before deciding anything. With Pogba expected to not be sold this summer, United really is taking a huge risk here. If Pogba doesn’t re-sign and he leaves for free next summer to La Liga, the board will surely regret not selling him when they had the chance.
