Predicting the win-loss record for every ACC football team for the 2021 season. Will Clemson sit atop the conference once again this season, or will teams such as North Carolina and Miami present a challenge for the Tigers?

The ACC received a fresh look at the top of the conference a year ago with Notre Dame finishing regular-season play sitting atop the league at 9-0 after joining for the 2020 season. However, the Fighting Irish fell to Clemson in the ACC Championship game, a familiar sight in recent years for ACC opponents.

The Tigers have dominated the conference for six consecutive seasons now, but there may be some increased competition as we enter the 2021 campaign.

With Notre Dame back to being an FBS independent in 2021, will Clemson finish the regular season undefeated once again? Are North Carolina and Miami ACC title contenders? Is Florida State back? Who is this seasons sleeper team in the ACC?

Each of these questions will be answered in due-time on the field, but also by predicting each ACC football team’s 2021 win-loss record in the regular-season.

ACC football record predictions for every team

Boston College football record prediction: 7-5

You could make an argument that the Eagles are the preseason No. 2 or No. 3 team in the Atlantic division, but face a road ahead that includes trips to Clemson and Georgia Tech, as well as home matchups against Florida State, Virginia Tech, and Missouri from the SEC.

Clemson football record prediction: 13-0

Aside from their marquee Week 1 showdown with No. 5 Georgia in Charlotte, the Tigers should cruise through the conference to their seventh consecutive ACC Championship, as well as the College Football Playoff.

Duke football record prediction: 4-8

The Blue Devils will have to travel to North Carolina and Virginia Tech most-notably, but have plenty of opportunities to collect quality wins at home as Miami, Northwestern, and Pittsburgh will all visit Durham this season.

Florida State football record prediction: 8-4

The Seminoles haven’t had a winning season since 2017, but the opportunity is there for Florida State to be the sleeper team in the ACC in year two under Mike Norvell with a tough schedule headlined by trips to Clemson, North Carolina, and Florida, as well as home games against Notre Dame and Miami.

Georgia Tech football record prediction: 5-7

After back-to-back three win seasons, the Yellow Jackets face a tough 2021 schedule that includes trips to Clemson, Miami, and Notre Dame, as well as home matchups against North Carolina and SEC-rival Georgia.

Louisville football record prediction: 6-6

Entering year three under head coach Scott Satterfield, Louisville could have success within the ACC, but three non-conference games may be the ultimate decider in 2021 – Ole Miss, UCF, and Kentucky.

Miami football record prediction: 9-3

The Hurricanes face defending national champion Alabama in Week 1, but aside from that and a mid-October trip to North Carolina, the schedule favors Miami to be in contention to win the Coastal division.

NC State football record prediction: 7-5

The Wolfpack host both Clemson and North Carolina this season, but face three road games in particular that could decide how far NC State goes in 2021 – Mississippi State, Miami, and Florida State.

North Carolina football record prediction: 10-3

The preseason favorite to win the Coastal division and meet Clemson in the ACC Championship game, the Tar Heels will meet Miami in Chapel Hill on October 16 in a game that may decide the division, along with an important road game two weeks later at Notre Dame.

Pittsburgh football record prediction: 6-6

The Panthers schedule ramps up beginning in October with their ACC opener at Georgia Tech, and Pitt has a chance to enter that game undefeated at 4-0, depending on what occurs with their Week 2 trip to Knoxville to face Tennessee.

Syracuse football record prediction: 4-8

After finishing last in the ACC a year ago, the Orange should be improved, but not enough to contend in the Atlantic division this season.

Virginia football record prediction: 6-6

The Cavaliers may struggle in ACC play, but have two non-conference matchups against Notre Dame and BYU that will be a tough test as well.

Virginia Tech football record prediction: 7-5

Arguably the Hokies biggest game of the season comes via a Week 1 showdown with North Carolina at home, but a mid-season home game against Notre Dame, as well as a late-season trip to Miami could be very important games.

Wake Forest football record prediction: 4-8

Wake Forest could see some success early-on, but has a tough month of November with four straight games against teams with a winning record a year ago.

Clemson will certainly represent the Atlantic division in the ACC Championship game, but it will likely be either one of two teams – North Carolina or Miami – facing the Tigers for a trip to the College Football Playoff on the line at seasons end.
